Rob and his wife Mar joined the Board in 2019. Rob has been a bureaucrat and boat-builder, teacher and traveler, law-writer and literacy worker, health planner and refugee helper, singer, theatre actor, and producer.
He directed the development of health services in the Indigenous communities of Northern Saskatchewan. On PEI, he spent 27 years leading policy and planning, and writing dozens of laws, in the provincial departments of Health, Social Services, and Education.
Rob also served in four overseas assignments with CUSO -- teaching, designing curriculum, rebuilding a national literacy organization, and evaluating program effectiveness in Malawi, Malaysia, the Solomon Islands, and Tanzania.
He volunteers in areas of social justice (refugee work, Habitat for Humanity, his church’s social-action projects), nursing-home entertainment, and community theatre. Rob and his wife Mar travel extensively, tending toward off-the-beaten-track places such as Bhutan, The Stans, and Mongolia.
